SafestHires (“SafestHires,” “we,” “service,” or “us”) is owned and operated by SafestHires, Inc. What information does SafestHires collect?

Registration and Contact Information

Access to certain SafestHires web pages and online services is not available to the general public and requires the creation of a SafestHires account (“Account”).

When you register for an Account, fill out our contact form, or otherwise engage with our website, we may collect the following personal information from you (“Registration and Contact Information”):

We collect information about candidates including but not limited to their name, email address, Social Security Number, address, and date of birth. We use this information for the sole purpose of completing the requested background screening and only in compliance with applicable law, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

When you visit our Site, we collect the following information from all visitors:

Log Data

We collect a standard set of data from all visitors to the website. Also known as “log data,” our servers may collect information that includes your IP address, when your computer or device visited the site, the URL of the website you arrived from, and the type of device or browser you used to access the site. We also record whether you navigate to one of the other services owned by our parent company, Inflection.com, Inc.

We will not share your information with third-party marketing companies or data aggregators, wholesale buyers or sellers of data for marketing purposes.

Deidentified and Aggregated Data: We may share or disclose information we collect after deidentifying and aggregating it so it cannot be linked back to an individual person. We contractually require third parties to respect this practice.

Business Transfers: In the event that SafestHires, Inc. is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. However, the new entity will be bound by this privacy policy after the sale or transfer.

Fraud and Abuse Prevention: We partner with certain third party vendors to prevent fraud and abuse. When you make a purchase, we analyze your payment information and unique device identifiers (including, but not limited to, IP address, MAC address, geographical location, browser and operating system settings) to identify suspected fraudulent activity and block it. We may share information associated with activity flagged as fraudulent (including, but not limited to, payment information, email addresses, and unique device identifiers) with our security partners or law enforcement for further investigation.

Legal Process and Emergency Circumstances: We may disclose or preserve for future disclosure your information if we believe, after due consideration, that doing so is reasonably necessary to protect SafestHires’ rights or property or to comply with a law, regulation, valid legal process, or to prevent imminent and serious bodily harm to a person.

Unless prohibited from doing so by law or court order, we will do our best to provide subjects – including candidates – of law enforcement requests with advance notice before we disclose their information to law enforcement, if we have contact information for that customer. We reserve the right to withhold advance notice where it would impede an investigation of identity theft, or in situations involving imminent physical harm or harm to minors.


How long we keep data

SafestHires will retain the information you provide to us for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.


Changes to and Deleting your Account

If your account information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, amend, deactivate or delete your account by making the change on our member information page or by emailing us at support@safesthires.com We will try to respond to your request within 30 days. We may be required by law or regulation to retain certain account information associated with your use of the service.

Links to Third Party Sites

Our Site includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of SafestHires, Inc. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Social Media Widgets

Our website includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook Like button and Widgets, the Share this button, or interactive mini-programs that run on our site. These Features may collect your IP address, may index the page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.


California Information-Sharing Disclosure

We do not share your personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes without your permission. Also, we do not share anyone’s Personally Identifiable Information (PII) with any company outside the United States. All domestic background checks are conducted by our company, with offices in Florida and Texas, and supported by US-based suppliers only.

Children’s Information

SafestHires is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have collected personal information on a child under the age of 13 via SafestHires.com, we will promptly remove it from our systems.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to the privacy policy that affect your rights, we will post a notice on the site prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices. If we make any changes to this Policy, we will change the “Last Updated” date above.
